Where Are Bottle Protection Nets Used?
Bottle Protection Nets are flexible plastic packaging nets that support surface protection during bottle storage, transport and preparation for sale. By surrounding the bottle body, they help reduce direct contact with other bottles or packaging surfaces.
Select a suitable net according to the bottle’s widest body diameter, shape and the length of the section requiring protection. Cylindrical, angular or tapered and contoured bottles may have different application requirements.
- Shipping packaging: To support surface protection at contact points between bottles inside boxes or crates.
- Storage and internal handling: To help reduce friction that may occur when bottles are placed and moved.
- Retail and gift presentation: As part of the packaging, taking bottle shape and label visibility into account.
When determining net dimensions, also assess the bottle’s labels, printing and decorative coatings. Check whether fitting and removal cause marks, snagging or peeling on these surfaces.
Why Bottle Protection Nets?
Flexible structure suited to bottle geometry: A correctly sized net surrounds the body section requiring protection. Netting that is too narrow can make fitting difficult, while netting that is too wide may slip out of place.
Cut lengths or rolls: Cut lengths can be considered for fixed bottle dimensions and rolls for use at different lengths. When determining cut length, also check how the net’s length changes when fitted over the bottle.
Colour selection for presentation: The net colour can be assessed together with the bottle and label design. Check label readability and the product’s shelf appearance through a trial on a filled bottle.
Bottle Protection Nets should be considered together with the outer packaging. To reduce breakage risk, separately address bottle movement inside the box, collisions between bottles and support for the base and neck areas.
