Separator Surface Protection Nets
Separator Surface Protection Nets Applications
Separator Surface Protection Nets are extruded plastic nets placed between parts or product layers to help reduce direct surface contact. They are used as interlayers during in-process handling, storage and shipment preparation.
Unlike protective nets that wrap products individually, separator applications primarily aim to separate contacting surfaces. Select a suitable net according to the part’s weight, surface sensitivity, contact area and stacking arrangement.
- Automotive and machinery parts: For interlayer protection at contact points between parts inside crates or packaging.
- Metal and coated surfaces: To help reduce the risk of friction and scratches where surfaces touch.
- Layered packing: To separate rows of products stacked on top of one another.
- In-process handling: At points where parts moving between processing stages are placed in crates or on workbenches.
When determining net dimensions, consider more than the product’s external measurements. Account for protrusions, sharp edges and points where the load is concentrated. Plan net placement so that surfaces requiring protection are not left exposed.
Why Separator Surface Protection Nets?
Separating layer between surfaces: Placing the net where parts make direct contact supports surface protection inside the packaging. For sensitive coatings, suitability should be assessed through a trial on the actual part.
Sizing for the application: Width and cut length can be determined according to the crate base or the area occupied by the products. Selecting the right dimensions makes placement easier and helps reduce unnecessary material consumption.
Selection for stacking conditions: Assess mesh structure and net weight together with the way the products make contact. In particular, pressure on lower layers and movement that may occur during transport should be included in application trials.
When comparing Separator Surface Protection Nets prices, use the same width, cut length, mesh size and weight characteristics as the basis. Account for net consumption and cutting waste when calculating the cost per layer.
Before routine use, a trial in the actual packaging arrangement is recommended. Check for surface marking, net displacement and deformation under load. Securing the parts within the packaging should be planned separately.
